With food allergies--Eating out involves taking a chance. It is a game of chance because it only takes a trace amount for an allergic reaction to occur. If you are away from home and feel like taking a chance, a chef card may be helpful. Click on the links below to download a Chef Card from MayoClinic.com or foodallergybuddy.com website. If you do eat out, bring the epinephrine. If your'e allergic to peanut, tree nuts, or soy, stay away from Asian restaurants. If your'e allergic to shellfish or fish, stay far away from seafood restaurants. If you don't feel comfortable in a particular restaurant go with your "gut feeling" and leave. Don't stay, just look for another restaurant. Click on: http://foodallergybuddy.com/ Click on: MayoClinic.com Chef Card(PDF file requiring Adobe Reader)
